"Franconia Notch" Screenplay Staged Reading

March, 2019

Harley is cast in the preliminary reading of "Franconia Notch", a new screenplay written by Casey Sherman (THE FINEST HOURS, PATRIOTS DAY) and John Stimpson (GHOST LIGHT, THE LEGEND OF LUCY KEYES) was inspired by Sherman’s 2009 #1 true crime best-seller Bad Blood: Freedom and Death in the White Mountains. Sherman, Stimpson and Dave Wedge will co-produce the film with production expected to begin in Massachusetts in late 2019 under their Fort Point Media & H9 Film banners.

"Not Uncut" Podcast Launches!

The new podcast "Not Uncut" is officially available for your listening pleasure, and new episodes drop every other Friday.  Harley co-hosts the podcast with friend and Artist/Animator Alex Salsberg.  

"Harley and Alex go way back: they met in Kindergarten, attended each other's Bar Mitzvah...all while navigating the brightly-colored, slime-filled decade that was the 1990s. "Boy Meets Girl" Workshop

February, 2017

Harley was as "David" in Eric Schaeffer's musical Boy Meets Girl.  Boy Meets Girl is a new musical inspired by the film of the same name, written/directed by Eric Schaeffer. The musical's book, lyrics and direction are also by Eric Schaeffer (films If Lucy Fell, Never Again, the TV series Starved), and music and lyrics by Debra Barsha (Public Theatre's Radiant Baby, the all-female musical A Taste of Things to Come).

Tony Award-winner Chuck Cooper will headline New York Theatre Barn's developmental presentation.

 

"The Beachcomber Boys" Workshop

January, 2015

Harley is cast as Mouse in workshop reading of  "The Beachcomber Boys".

 

Book and lyrics by Myra Slotnick and music by Grammy Award-winning composer Peter Stopschinski.  Directed by Obie Award winner David Drake.

 

The Beachcomber Boys is a "fictional tale inspired by the true-life fraternity of painters, poets, novelists, and playwrights who, since 1916, have gathered each and every Saturday night in a not-so-disclosed decrepit location on a spit of sand jutting out into the sea known as Provincetown, Massachusetts. Set in 1953 amidst the Hollywood Blacklist, major themes are art, literature, fame, family, and the challenges of success (and failure) in work and love." 

 

 

"Final Day" Workshop

December, 2014

Harley is cast as Lt. Johann in the Danny Curtis musical "Final Day".  

 

The musical was presented as a workshop at the Bridge Theater in New York City on December 3rd and 4th.

Harley Is Cast In The Film "The Finest Hours"

August-December 2014

Harley is cast as "Smitty" also known as "Seaman 6" in the new film produced by Disney.  The film is directed by Craig Gillespie, and stars Chris Pine, Casey Affleck, and Ben Foster.

 

The film takes place in 1952, when the Coast Guard attempts a dramatic rescue after two oil tankers collide off the coast of Cape Cod.  

 

Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson adapted the novel written by Casey Sherman and Michael J Tougias

 

Principal photography begins in September and will shoot until December, 2014 in Quincy, MA and Chatham, MA.

Harley Is Cast In The Film 'Residual Memory'

February, 2014

Harley is cast as "Issac" in the new film Residual Memory directed by Bernardo Viotti and produced by Jordan Hirsh.

 

A young college student receives mysterious instant messages from her recently deceased boyfriend. Annoyed and emotionally drained, she seeks the help of a computer hacker to discover the origin of the messages. Principal photography begins in March, 2014 in New York City. 

'Atom & Eve - A Pop Opera'

Harley is attached to star as "Atom" in the new pop opera Atom & Eve set to open next fall in New York City. 

 

With romantic music, an operatic score, and a psychedelic story, Atom & Eve is the tale of two jaded, suburban high school seniors whose lethargy is interrupted by a mysterious, otherworldly woman who leads them to an exotic paradise where they are tempted with new knowledge. They soon find themselves tangled up in the troubles of a simple beautiful ancient farming village and the dangers of a nearby, neon lit, fast-paced modern city as they seek their true Garden of Eden.

Harley is cast as "Hans Gomez" in the first reading of a new musical featuring the songs of the Violent Femmes, one of the most popular alternative rock bands of the 80s.  

 

Hitting the Ground is about a group of strangers -- a drug-addicted rocker, a beauty queen with a past, a comedian, a war-torn solder and a Rolling Stone reporter about to get the story of his life -- who set out on a USO tour together. Instead, they share an unexpected adventure in Appalachia. As the search planes circle, unforeseen love is discovered, sides are taken, guns are drawn, moonshine flows and a flood of biblical proportions threatens to wash everything and everyone down the mountain.

'The Novelist' Wraps Principal Photography

November, 2013

Harley wraps filming the new 16mm short film 'The Novelist' directed by Lanny Huang.  Inspired by the backwardness of typical gender roles in film, the story centers around an erotic novelist who sleeps with younger men for inspiration.
